the good news is...protection and care for the vulnerable

Again and again, Jesus lifts up the last, the least, and the overlooked. He reminds us that the good news of God’s kingdom is not built around power or status, but around care for the vulnerable.

Scripture tells us to remember that we, too, were once vulnerable—that we have all depended on the care of others. And because of that, we are called not only to protect the vulnerable, but to help them thrive.

So today we gather to worship the God who welcomes the small, the overlooked, and the forgotten—and who calls us to do the same.
