Built on Rock

Sep 27, 2026

Five months ago we climbed this mountain with Jesus and sat down to listen. Last week we learned to ask, to seek, to knock — to bring what's real, not what's polished. Today we come to the end of the sermon, and Jesus does what any good teacher does: he gets practical. Not everyone who talks a good game is telling the truth. Not everything that looks solid will hold. In a season when it feels like the ground keeps shifting under all of us — when it's hard to know who to trust and what's actually real — Jesus doesn't offer easy comfort. He asks a harder question: what are you building on? Not what do you believe, not what do you say — what will still be standing when the storm comes? That's not a comfortable question, but it's an honest one, and honest is where we live. Wherever you are on your own foundation this morning — solid ground or shifting sand — you are welcome here.
