It is always a delight when this passage bubbles up. I love the audacity of Elisha asking for a double portion of power. If we don't ask, then we often do not receive. Why be shy when asking for spiritual power?

We stand on the shoulders and we live in the power of those who have come before us. We inherit their wisdom. We learn from their mistakes. If we are attentive, we can multiply the power they wielded.
